About Us
Who We Are
Founded in Toronto, JPlatt Rugs has been curating handmade rugs from the best weavers around the world since 1973. This is a family owned business, which was started by Joe Platt and is now run by his son, Mark Platt. Mark revitalized the business in April 2020 to deliver high quality rugs to Oakville. Mark has travelled the globe to discover who the finest weavers of the world are, and bring their works back to Canada.
Our Mission
JPlatt Rugs is committed to delivering 100% natural, sustainable, well-made rugs that will last a lifetime. Mark Platt has travelled to countries like Germany, Morocco, and India to source high quality handmade rugs. JPlatt Rugs only source environmentally friendly rugs that are made without synthetic materials. We provide personalized customer service, and design expertise to help you choose a rug that best matches your space.
